Daughters. Dreamers. Doers.

Help them take their next step.

No Poor Africa invests in girls' education—one journey, one voice, one future at a time.

These stories are a window into the world of girls we serve—and a glimpse at what’s possible when you choose to walk with them.

  • School Lunch

In Mozambique, 80% of people cannot afford a healthy diet, and nearly one-quarter of the population is malnourished. Poor nutrition limits a student’s ability to concentrate, learn, and remain in school.

We provide daily school lunches so girls receive consistent, nutritious meals—helping them focus in class, stay healthy, and easing the food burden at home.

  • Uniforms & School Supplies

In Mozambique’s high schools, students must afford uniforms, school supplies, and test fees, and without them they are not allowed to attend class or take critical exams. For low-income families, these costs create a direct barrier to education.

We supply uniforms, school materials, and cover test fees—removing financial barriers so girls can attend school and complete their studies.

  • Counseling

In Mozambique, 46% of adolescent girls become pregnant—57% have their first pregnancy before age 18, and 14% before age 15—placing their education, health, and future at serious risk.

We pair each girl with a counselor who supports her academics and emotional health, helping her stay in school and succeed.

  • Tutoring

Mozambique’s schools are under-resourced, with high student–teacher ratios and limited instructional materials. For many students, classroom learning alone is not enough to achieve mastery of essential skills.

We provide targeted tutoring to bridge learning gaps, build confidence, and ensure that girls can excel academically, not just attend school.

  • Leadership Development

In Mozambique, only about 6% of women are employed in the formal sector, compared to 25% of men. This gap limits women’s economic independence, career opportunities, and influence in decision-making spaces.

We prepare girls to overcome these barriers through practical leadership training in agriculture, opportunities to lead center clubs, and personal growth programs like The 7 Habits—equipping them with the confidence, skills, and vision to succeed in formal careers and leadership roles.

In Mozambique, only 11% of girls finish high school.

Help change that story.
